Timeline

Recognizing individuals in our College of Design for who they are instead of what they do.

Project Outline

The purpose of the project was to create an interactive exhibit for display at the Interactive Media Zone in the Georgia Tech Library.

Design Criteria

Goal: Create a cute but functional bag/keychain accessory

Target Audience: Passersbys in the Georgia Tech Library, potentially new students or those in other majors

Exhibition

Displayed at the Georgia Tech Interactive Media Zone February 2026

Backdrop Design

The backdrop was designed using Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and After Effects. The image below depicts the stationary layout of the exhibit backdrop. Each section indicator (Student, Faculty, and Alumni Spotlight) was animated using After Effects, as well as the collage displayed in the center. The elements were then compiled in After Effects, where animated dashed line details were added.

Touchscreen Stations

I designed the ten touchscreen slides using Figma. The first touchscreen station provides an overview of the six disciplines within the Georgia Tech College of Design. The following touchscreens feature notable individuals within the College of Design, categorized into three groups: Students, Faculty, and Alumni. The project aimed to highlight the character and personality of the individual and why they deserved to be spotlighted, rather than focusing solely on their work.
